My personal website

My initial reason for designing and developing my own personal website was out of frugality. At the time I was using Adobe portfolio but once I graduated from the University of Michigan I lost my eductional account privilleges and had to start paying to continue using it. I decided instead to design and develop my own website which, while time consuming, was extremely rewarding as it gave me complete freedom not only on the design of the website but the functionality as well. Designing and developing my own website also allows me to reflect and apply my new perspectives I've developed over time; sort-of like an artist's self-portrait over time reflecting their changing art styles and craft.

This is actually my third version of my portfolio. I've decided to update my portfolio for three main reasons: 1) I felt my design style/philosophy has changed and should be reflected in my new website, 2) my old website was built on next.js's page router and I felt it was time to update to the app router, and 3) I've been developing my motion design skills and felt this would be a great opportunity to test my craft. Lastly, thank you for taking the time to visit my website; I hope you enjoy your time here and learn a little more about me through my design decisions for this website.
